The inaugural Flag competition of Flag Football SA.
Flag Football Adelaide is run twice yearly Autumn (March/April) and Spring (September/October).
Registration fees for the league are only $100 per player.
The league is run at the Home of Gridiron SA in Dry Creek.
Flag football is a variant of American Football where, instead of tackling players to the ground, the defensive team must remove a flag or flag belt from the ball carrier.
Flag football is designed to create more opportunities for people of all backgrounds, and abilities to be involved in the game - and now offers pathways from grassroots social competition through to US Colleges and now a US Pro League.

Our SA Sharks Flag Football team is selected from the best players in Flag Football SA. The SA Sharks compete in the national flag competition to crown the best team in Australia.
The next Flag Football Nationals will be held this year in the Gold Coast on the 4th and 5th of May.

The best players from around the country are selected to represent Australia at several competitions.
In the inaugural Asia-Oceania Flag Football Championships, the women's team placed 2nd and the men placed 4th.
Australia will be competing in the IFAF Flag Football World Championship will be held in Lahti, Finland, from August 25-30, 2024.

Current locations of interest are Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, Murray Bridge, Riverland and Eyre Penisula
